WAYNETOWN – Robert A, Martin, 47, died of a heart attack at 2:30 a.m. Friday at Small’s Wayne Hotel, where he had lived several years. He was a native of Union, Ill., born Dec. 19, 1917, to Owen and Bertha Lingle Martin. He was never married. Mr. Martin was a World War II veteran, serving in the 48th Infantry Regiment. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Nina Warren of Orlando, Fla., and Miss Mildred Martin of Anna, Ill. The body is at the Servies Funeral Home, where funeral arrangements are incomplete. – jlr
